CITRA Master’s student Clare DeBerry recently travelled to the Louisiana Coast to study marsh terracing projects in the field with Ducks Unlimited.

Clare is a part of UGA’s Ducks Unlimited fellowship program and has been working with individuals at DU towards the improvement of marsh terracing practices throughout the Gulf Coast.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to visit coastal Louisiana and explore several marsh terracing projects there. Ducks Unlimited was very generous to spend time showing me their various projects and teaching me about their project design and monitoring process. This trip has helped me so much with my research project, and I really enjoyed getting to know the Ducks Unlimited employees there. Thank you to Cassidy Lejeune, Amanda Voisin, and Scott Graham for this opportunity and for taking time out of your week to help with my project!”
