Emilio is a third-year computer engineering major at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez. He participated in a National Exchange Program at the University of Georgia, where he worked as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Felix Santiago-Collazo. His work focused on the development of a compound flood model that combines riverine and coastal flooding. In the future, he hopes to work on projects that make an impact on a wide range of communities. Outside of work, he enjoys going to the beach, listening to music and hiking.
