On May 26, 2023, Dr. Felix Santiago-Collazo and Orlando Viloria-Marimón participated in the CARICOOS General Assembly 2023. During this event, Dr. Santiago-Collazo gave an oral presentation about recent compound flood events in Puerto Rico and the need to develop models that adequately represent these phenomena. Additionally, Orlando Viloria-Marimón presented a poster about mapping compound inundation along Puerto Rico’s coastal watersheds, where he revealed the necessity to develop this study, the methodology to implement it and its expected results.
